SLA / Support Packages
Baldwin & Francis supply solution equipment to areas where even a relatively minor failure can cause significant cost and disruption. We build to a very high standard and design the reliability needed to meet your requirements. However, as with any product, regular servicing is essential to optimise efficiency and to ensure long lifetimes.
Baldwin & Francis offer different levels of support package designed to minimise the risk of failure and to suit your needs. B&F’s service packages for all our products are designed to support the equipment right through the life of the asset. This includes two planned maintenance visits per year with a full report including notice of any parts obsolescence. Gold service customers also receive priority on emergency service calls with all travel and labour costs taken care of, with guaranteed fixed price on all parts.
We also provide exclusive access to the B&F technical support centre located in Sheffield, UK. The full Gold standard may not be necessary for all Baldwin and Francis customers, so we also provide bronze and silver service packages, or a series of support services tailored to our customers’ exact requirements.
From regular maintenance visits to full 24/7 emergency call-out, Baldwin and Francis provide a team of experts and services to keep businesses running, wherever the equipment is located.
Certified experts
Mining
Baldwin & Francis engineers have a long history of working in both underground and surface mines. We are fully experienced and carry all the relevant certifications for all major mining regions. We currently provide a full service offering for 365/24-7 mining operations throughout the world. This is supported by our experienced engineering team in the UK to allow full site support.
Rail
Our trackside service team have full PTS/OLEC/DCCR/CII qualifications to allow full support of any trackside service activities including any out of hours possessions or white periods. We offer full site supervision or basic labour support subject to customer requirements.
Industrial
Each industrial installation has its own unique challenges including difficult access and tight timescales. B&F have many years’ experience in tailoring installation packages to meet the customer’s needs. Our installation engineers meet with all site accreditations that are required and are trained to IOSH health and safety standards. We can offer out of hours installations to suit customers’ requirements.

Our service engineer will evaluate the current condition of your equipment and, if necessary, recommend any work required to bring it up to minimum standard to qualify for a support contract.
The technical survey will be charged at our standard daily rate. If the contract is taken up the cost of this initial survey will be refunded.
